Opening Meeting Sept 14, 2010

The kids are back to school...and Fall is in the air...must be time for quilt guild to begin.

Debbie Liechty filled in for Tammy Munk as Tammy was off playing...but she missed us I know she did.
The Kim Diehl workshop will be Sept 20, 21 with a trunk show at Hamilton's on Monday evening Sept 20th.  Contact Debbie ASAP if you would like to attend.

It was so wonderful to see our quilting friends again and even better to welcome new friends.

There is a new game in town...it's called "Musical Stash"!
Next month we are going to bring 1 yard of fabric to put in our bag.
It will be fun to see what you'll end up with.

Nadine Hall is in charge of Block Snatch (the game formerly known as Block Jack).
Next month we are making bug jars.

Cheryl Christiansen who is president-elect gave the run down on workshops this year.

Sue Badley will be teaching the workshop in October at her home.  She will be teaching us all about machine quilting.
Round Robin will be Mini Row quilts, as directed by Tammy Jewkes.

Judy Brown introduced this darling block of the month quilt.

Holly Elder got us excited about the Mystery quilt which can be done using jelly rolls.
Directions will be found on Holly's blog.

Julie Murdock gave us a list of overdue library book rentals.

Debi Booth and Lisa Garlick chose a Spool block for friendship quilts this year.

  2. Love having the photos of "Show-and-Share" posted; this way we can enjoy these works of art over and over, inspiring our own creativity and fostering a greater appreciation of others' accomplishments.
