Autumn Comes to Quilt Guild

"Come," said the Wind to the Leaves one day.
"Come over the meadow and we will play.
Put on your dresses of red and gold.
For summer is gone and the days grow cold."

Welcome to November and quilt guild.

Meet Judy Monson who is a new member to our quilt guild. She recently retired from USU after working there for 30 years. She has been sewing her whole life but is fairly new to quilting.

So she says...however, she did make 9 of these!

She also shared some Christmas stocking...welcome Judy it's so nice to have you.

Leisa...adorable Miss Leisa...has another new amazing wool project for us to do!

Leisa used Martha Stewart Multi Surface Glitter Acrylic craft paint in the color of antique silver. The paint can be found at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

Tuesday November 22 will be the day of the Pin Cushion workshop.

We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Leslie continually keeps us sleuthing for new clues to the mystery quilt.

The blocks for this month include this one...

and this one too!

Mystery quilters are doing a fabulous job keeping up with the clues.

Debi gave us the details for the Needles and Friends annual Christmas celebration to be held at Riverwoods Conference Center on Dec 13th at 10:00 am. Plan on a lovely brunch, an amazing trunk show, and time with friends.

Jill told us a quilt story about a turkey quilt made by a young mother during a difficult time in her life. Jill reminded us that "The hardships of yesteryear are the sweet memories of today."

Jolene showed us a clever and quick way to hang quilts on the wall.

Jolene found her invisible quilt hanger online.

Round Robin quilts are evolving into wonderful quilts.
