January 2011 Guild Meeting

With the holidays behind us, it's time to gather with friends again at quilt guild.

Welcome Shannon Rasmussen, a retired home economics teacher from Logan High School and new member of Needles and Friends Quilt Guild.

We are all looking forward to Carols' applique class to be held on workshop day this month.

Leisa's newest creation for wool project of the month.

Oh I can't wait to start stitching on this one, did you see those gorgeous wool roses!

The mystery quilt is coming along as well...

These are the new blocks for this month.

Amazing work ladies...and to think all of this came from orphan blocks and other donations. Laurie Robinson arranged this project and did a wonderful job along with many helpers. I am so proud of our little guild for creating these beautiful quilts for charities. Congrats ladies...well done!

This winter beauty will be auctioned off in September for Common Ground.

Hearts and flowers are sure to delight the bidders at the CAPSA auction.

All of the machine quilting was donated on all of the quilts as well. Thank you, thank you!

Bridgerland Literacy will be auctioning this quilt off this month.

Recognize these blocks? CASSA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) will benefit from the auction on this quilt to be held next September.

Our favorite Aggies will be using this in the Aggie Auction to be held next October.

Jolene never disappoints...this month teaching us how to add borders correctly.

Ladies...start saving your extra spending money, we are going on a field trip again. Thanks to Angie Peterson, we look forward to another Shop Hop to be held on March 28th. First come, first serve for the get your name and money to Angie ASAP!

Applique class meets 9:00 am...just before guild.

A little bit of lovely show and share this month. It seems everyone was busy holidaying it up!

 Wool prizes...yummy!

A preview/work-in-progress of Leisa's wool project for March.

See you all next month.
