March Guild Meeting

We are sad that Kris will not be available to continue keeping the blog updated.  We have really appreciated her efforts.  Thanks Kris Young

Melanie and Pam ready for March Guild meeting
Shanna gave us a preview of the next guild class.  The quilt pattern is called "Milky Way".  The class will be taught on April 29th.  Please note that this is a change from the usual date.  It is $5 to sign up for the class.   You will still be able to sign up at the next guild meeting.  The pattern will be available at Bernina.

Debi has organized the Quilts of Valor service project for the guild this year.  The guild members have generously contributed quilt blocks, funds, and quilting.  Keep up the good work because there are still several more individuals that have been nominated.

Next month will be the same quilt block but in prints or florals in the same color palette.  Some of these blocks will be used for a quilt for a female veteran.  Debbi also asked that we bring filler blocks in the same colors.   She also needs volunteers to make presentation cases for the quilts (pillow cases).

Lyn's block of the month group is doing amazing work.  Rachel shows of her needle turn appliqué block for this month.  Lyn gave her the cutest pea pod pincushion!

Mary generously shared a great tips and tricks!  It was to use a credit card to give you a straight edge to fold the mitered corner on your binding.  Great idea and thanks for sharing
