December Christmas Social

The Fav 5 spotlighted Rachel Hamm.  She describes herself as "multi-craftual".  Her favorite hobby is whatever she is doing at the moment.  She spins, knits, and crochets to name a few of her talents.  Quilting is one of her newer hobbies.  She has 10 cats.
She shared a quilt from her grandmother and a sweet crazy quilt poem written by her mother, Lynda.  She shared a handwritten recipe book by her mother and a beautiful counted cross stitch that Rachel made.  She passed the spotlight to Alice Cowley in honor of her Grandma Alice.

A beautiful cross stitch that Rachel made for her mother, Lynda.
The cross stitch reads "from mother to daughter we pass down our art, stitched with the fingers, designed with the heart."  When her mother passed the cross stitch returned to Rachel as a reminder of her wonderful mom.

It was wonderful to learn about delightful Rachel Hamm.

Jolene showed the block of the month assignments for the month.

The class for January will be taught by Kris Andreason from Mormon Handicraft.  It will the pattern "Quilt In the Parlor" using the Riley Blake fabric line, "In the Parlor".  It will use English paper piecing method.

The Row Quilt Swap shows some amazing creativity.
